I think we all can agree that this last year and a half has been isolating and painful. I spent a major part of it pregnant with my second son whom we welcomed in March 2021. While missing family, friends, and many of the other fun milestones that come with early parenthood, I had a lot of time to think about what I wanted to accomplish when the world opened up again.
I have decided not to wait a moment longer to pursue my lifelong dream of running the TCS NYC Marathon. This will be my first marathon ever and I'm equal parts ecstatic and terrified!
As a part of this journey I will be raising money for The Peregrine Fund, supporting them in their global mission to protect birds of prey like the Peregrine who are native to my home in the Hudson Valley. The health and wellbeing of birds of prey around the world serves as an essential indicator of the health of any ecosystem at large.
As my high school cross country teammates can attest... I won't be setting any speed records. However I will go the distance and finish strong! Will you support this not so fast mother of two as she runs for the world's fastest raptor?! Thank you for helping me advocate for these amazing birds of prey while making my little boys proud of their Mama!
