Hi there! I’m Stacie, and I’m thrilled to be running the New York City Marathon to support The Peregrine Fund. As someone who has always had a deep love for birds, I find joy in every feathered friend I encounter. I’m lucky enough to have a Bald Eagle that nests near my home, and I make it a point to say hi to it during my runs. It’s a little ritual that reminds me of the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting it.
When I’m not running or birdwatching, I’m busy raising chickens and turkeys in my backyard. I believe in giving them plenty of space to roam and forage, allowing them to live their best lives. There’s something incredibly rewarding about caring for animals and watching them thrive.
Professionally, I work as the Director of Professional Learning at Khan Academy, where I help educators find creative ways to engage their students. But at the end of the day, I’m just a person who loves connecting with others, sharing stories, and making a difference in the world—especially when it comes to protecting our feathered friends.
