Thought leadership requires the acceptance of innovative ideas amongst a broader community. The Peregrine Fund has innovated from the beginning, with an initial mission to repopulate a continent with Peregrine Falcons. The Madagascar Program has led the way in pioneering community-based conservation, a model that has been emulated not only by our other programs but conservation organizations within Madagascar and across the globe. Our Madagascar Program has, and continues to, leave its mark on the conservation field worldwide.

Our Solutions

Scientific Publications

Each year, the Madagascar Program’s biologists and students release many scientific publications. These peer-reviewed articles release new information about field techniques, species, and outreach efforts, all valuable additions to the conservation field.

Our Solutions

Creative Adaptations

Every threat to biodiversity that our Madagascar team has encountered has led to a unique, long-lasting solution. By adapting to the changing environment and community needs, our team is able to create custom-made solutions that aid both biodiversity and the welfare of local communities.
