International Vulture Awareness Day Celebration

Visit The Peregrine Fund's World Center for Birds of Prey and learn all about global raptor conservation! 16 of the 23 vulture populations are endangered or threatened with extinction. Get to know these charismatic birds on exhibit, in presentations, and through activity stations. Learn how we can conserve vultures and why we need them for healthy ecosystems. Glimpse into the the largest breeding flock of California Condors as they prepare for their release into the wild. Enjoy vulture themed stations, free gift basket drawings, flight demonstrations, and more!

All IVAD activities are included with general admission.

10 am - Stations open
11 am - General Admission Bird Program
11 am - Fall Flights (tickets sold separately)
12 pm - Vulture theme enrichment for Avian Ambassadors
1 pm - General Admission Bird Program & Vulture gift basket drawing
2 pm - Virtual Guest speaker - Tim Hauck, The Peregrine Fund’s California Condor Program Director
3 pm - General Admission Bird Program (Stations close)
