Congratulations to our Chairman, the Honorable Dirk A. Kempthorne

We are thrilled to share that the nuclear engine room aboard the USS Idaho (pictured in banner image above) will be named in honor of Chairman Kempthorne—a rare and prestigious distinction that recognizes his dedicated service and instrumental efforts in making the USS Idaho nuclear submarine a reality.

Former Idaho Governor, U.S. Senator, and U.S. Secretary of the Interior, Chairman Kempthorne (pictured below) has devoted his career to public service. As chairman of the USS Idaho Commissioning Committee Advisory Board and through his lifelong dedication to the men and women of our armed forces, he has exemplified the leadership and commitment that make this honor so fitting.
