BOISE, Idaho – Learn about The Peregrine Fund’s work with birds of prey around the world at International Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 14, at The Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey.
A family-friendly day filled with games, films, tours, and live bird presentations will focus on this year’s theme, “Go Wild, Go Birding!” Visitors will receive a “passport” that encourages them to “go birding” inside and outside the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center. Other activities include learning how to identify local birds of prey, doing craft projects, dressing like a bird of prey, and touring the interpretive center and the Archives of Falconry.
Movies, shown throughout the day, will highlight The Peregrine Fund’s work with native people to restore Harpy Eagles in Panama and the recovery project for California Condors in the Grand Canyon.

The interpretive center offers interactive displays for visitors of all ages. The Archives of Falconry features art, sculpture, artifacts, and rare books related to falconry, including an authentic hunting tent and displays on falconry in the Middle East.
