Learn about The Peregrine Fund's work with raptors and people around the world at International Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, 9 May, at the World Center for Birds of Prey. 

This family-friendly day will be full of games, films, tours, and live bird demonstrations focused on this year's theme, "Celebrating Birds in Culture." Visitors will receive a "passport" that encourages them to imagine being a migrating Peregrine Falcon as they visit interpretive displays. Other activities include identifying wild birds, making masks, dressing like a bird of prey, and touring the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center and the Archives of Falconry.

A movie about The Peregrine Fund's work with native people to restore Harpy Eagles in Panama will be shown, as well as a slide show about the organization's conservation projects worldwide.

Driving directions: World Center for Birds of Prey, 5668 W. Flying Hawk Lane, is located 15 minutes from downtown Boise. From I-84, take the Cole Road exit and continue 6 miles south on Cole Road to Flying Hawk Lane. 

The interpretive center offers interactive displays and films for visitors of all ages. The Archives of Falconry contains art, sculpture, artifacts and rare books related to falconry. The new Arab Heritage Wing features an authentic hunting tent and displays on the ancient sport of falconry in the Middle East. The Peregrine Fund is a non-profit organization that conserves and restores rare species of raptors around the world.
