Come Fly With Us at the World Center for Birds of Prey

Live raptors will demonstrate their speedy and impressive flight skills at The Peregrine Fund's World Center for Birds of Prey on Saturday, 9 February. Visitors to the daylong "Frequent Flyers Club" event also will discover how birds survive harsh winter conditions and why some raptors migrate more than 15,000 miles each year. 

Admission will be free for youths age 16 and under.

The flight demonstrations, featuring a Turkey Vulture and falcons, will be held both indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. The day-long program will offer activities especially for kids from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guided tours of the interpretive center will be given throughout the day.

Schedule of events:
11 a.m.: Outdoor falcon flight demonstration (weather permitting)
11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: Children's migration activity
Noon-12:30 p.m.: Indoor flight demonstration (space limited)
1 p.m.-2 p.m.: Migration talk 
2 p.m.-2:30 p.m.: Outdoor falcon flight demonstration (weather permitting)
3 p.m.-3:30 p.m.: Falcons of the Arctic talk

Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
