Hi, I’m Katy! I am a medical student, runner, and someone who loves to spend time outdoors. Running has always been a constant for me, whether I’m training for races, clearing my head after long days in school, or building community through run clubs.
I’m running the 2026 JAL Honolulu Marathon as both a personal challenge and a way to connect my love of running with a broader purpose. Training for something this big reminds me of what you can achieve through consistency and community support!
Conservation matters to me because so much of what I value—health, community, and time outdoors—is deeply tied to the natural world. Raptors, in particular, represent strength, balance, and the health of entire ecosystems. Protecting them means protecting the environments we all depend on.
