Bluegrass and Birds - A concert and dance to benefit the World Center for Birds of Prey
Dust off your dancing shoes, and get ready for a full evening of music and conservation.
On Friday, December 6th, local bluegrass favorites Idyltime will be releasing their 3rd studio album, It’s Not Time. For the album release they’ve teamed up Boise Old Time, the Mardi Gras Ballroom, and The Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey to help raise awareness and support for raptor conservation. The World Center for Birds of Prey will kick off the evening with a special presentation about the importance of owls. Their owl ambassadors, Oliver and Winston (Verreaux’s Eagle-owl and Western Screech Owl), will be on the glove for this all-ages presentation. “This evening will be a chance to bring our community together to celebrate the arts and the environment” says Tate Mason, Director of the World Center for Birds of Prey. Following the raptor presentation, the Lonesome Jetboat Ramblers will play a set of hard-driving bluegrass before Idyltime plays songs from their new album. Called dances will be interspersed throughout the evening!
Food Truck will be on hand
