World Center for Birds of Prey plans special activities for Scouts on Saturday, February 1

BOISE, Idaho – Scavenger hunts and other special activities for Scouts will be held at The Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey on Saturday, February 1. Youths and adult leaders wearing their Scout uniforms will be admitted for $3 per person.

Wolf, Bear, Webelo, and Boy Scouts and Daisy and Junior Girl Scouts can learn about the adaptations and habitats of birds of prey to earn their related badges. Scouts who complete the activities also will receive a free 2014 Birds of Prey calendar.

When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, February 1

Where: World Center for Birds of Prey, 5668 W. Flying Hawk Lane

Admission: $3 (non-Scouts pay regular admission)

Live bird presentations: 10:30 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m.

Driving directions: From I-84, south on Cole Road for 6 miles to Flying Hawk Lane

Non-Scout visitors will be charged regular admission: $7 general, $6 senior, $5 youth (4-16 years). Members are admitted free.
