Raptors in the Round

Welcome to Raptors in the Round, an exciting new program from the World Center for Birds of Prey!

This fall we are hosting intimate, socially-distanced flight presentations in our beautiful courtyard, featuring the most amazing creatures on planet Earth - raptors! Grab a front row seat as a Barn Owl uses its incredible hearing to locate prey, or listen to the wind through the wings of a vulture or a hawk. During each presentation we delve into the birds’ adaptations and the important conservation issues facing raptors. Our team ensures that every guest has a VIP experience, an opportunity to connect personally with the birds, and plenty of time to chat with the bird trainers. We are excited to share stories and provide practical actions we all can take to make the world a safer place for raptors.

We are committed to the safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff. Therefore Fall Flights, our popular flight show, is cancelled for 2020. Raptors in the Round provides an in-depth experience for smaller audiences, Thursdays - Sundays through November 2020. Each flight presentation takes place during a 90-minute time slot available to reserve here. Occasionally, we may even be able to fly a bird in the Raptor Ridge amphitheater. In the case of inclement weather, Raptors in the Round will be moved inside the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center.

Presentation times are:

Thursdays - Sundays

  • 11:30 am -1:00 pm
  • 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
  • 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
