I’m an avid runner and marathoner, and I’m excited for the chance to run in the energy of New York City. I especially like having a race goal that means more than just a finishing time. Running for a cause adds a different kind of motivation and purpose to the miles. Conservation matters to me because protecting the natural world means protecting the ecosystems and wildlife that share this planet with us. Raptors are an important part of that balance, and protecting them helps protect the habitats and biodiversity around them.

I also have a two-year-old who is already developing a love for being outside, just like I have. I want him to grow up with a planet that still has its natural beauty and the wildlife that make it special, and to be able to explore it decades from now.
