Winter hours begin Nov. 1 at the Interpretive Center

BOISE, Idaho – The Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey begins a reduced winter schedule on Thursday, Nov. 1.

The Velma Morrison Interpretive Center will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays). Guided tours of the Archives of Falconry will be offered at 2 p.m. when the interpretive center is open. The facility is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Live bird presentations will be held at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Summer hours resume Friday, March 1, when the facility will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week (closed Easter).

The interpretive center allows adults and kids to enjoy interactive displays and face-to-face encounters with live raptors. The Archives of Falconry features an authentic Arab hunting tent, artifacts, books, art and sculpture.
