The Peregrine Fund's World Center for Birds of Prey will begin its annual volunteer holiday bazaar on Tuesday, 22 November, at the Velma Morrison Interpretive Center. The arts and craft bazaar will feature a variety of items donated by the Center's volunteers and supporters including: Christmas ornaments, decorations, books, notecards, photography, artwork, and a silent auction for the framed Thomas Mangelsen 16" x 47" image, "Daybreak on the Tetons." The bazaar will end on Saturday, 24 December. All proceeds from the event will be applied toward The Peregrine Fund's Education Program. Please call Nick Piccono at 362-8257 if you have an item you would like to donate or need more information.

The Velma Morrison Interpretive Center will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday-Sunday during the winter months (November – February). Just 15 minutes from downtown Boise on South Cole Road, the Center features a variety of eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls on display, including the California Condor, Harpy Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, and Bateleur Eagle. Complete with interactive displays, multimedia shows, and live bird presentations, the facility is the only one of its kind in the area.
