Kite Quiz, cont.
3. As an immature bird, I have been confused with an immature male Peregrine Falcon. We both have a brown streaked body and pointed wings. Our size is similar, but a Peregrine Falcon weighs at least twice as much as I do. We both hunt our prey in the air, but I prefer insects instead of birds. My scientific name, Ictinia mississippiensis, helps to identify me. Who am I?
