Becky comes to The World Center for Birds of Prey from a long career in marketing and project development. Her time owning a successful boutique in Montclair, NJ, and previous position as Director of Boise’s nonprofit Dunia Marketplace (mission: Fair Trade) provide her with an entrepreneurial vision and storytelling spirit. In 2007 she received degrees in Anthropology, and Geography with a focus in urban and environmental studies. These studies brought to focus her evolving interests in culture, conservation, and the geography of community: local and global.
Currently, as the Manager of The Peregrine's Fund's Gift Shop she is able to bring forth her years of experience to develop exciting and creative projects, with the end goal of telling the amazing story of raptor conservation. Becky is proud to have developed a Direct Fair Trade line of items, which links artisans located in our global project areas to The Peregrine Fund Gift Shop. The hilltop view from the center is magnificent for bird-watching (near and far) and is where she enjoys speaking with the thousands of folks that visit each year.
Becky lives near the foothills where she and her dog Plato care for her father. She is also a proud mom to Ben, an educator living and teaching in New Orleans. Becky moved back to Boise in 2009 after spending over 20 years in San Francisco, New York City and Montclair, NJ.
