Archives of Falconry Features Renowned Wildlife Artist at Annual Rendezvous at the World Center for Birds of Prey
25 February 2010BOISE, Idaho – Renowned wildlife artist Hans Peeters will attend a special exhibit of his work at the Third Annual Spring Rendezvous at The Archives of Falconry on Saturday, March 6.
The annual event draws falconers from throughout Idaho and the West to the Archives at The Peregrine Fund's World Center for Birds of Prey, 5668 W. Flying Hawk Lane. The one-day event and exhibit will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Peeters' work is well-known among birding enthusiasts. He painted many of the color plates in "All the Birds of North America" (The American Bird Conservancy, 1997) and has authored and illustrated "Raptors of California" (University of California Press, 2005) and "Owls of California and the West" (University of California Press, 2007). His work has been featured in many other books and magazines, such as Audubon and Architectural Digest, and displayed in galleries and museums.
Rendezvous attendees may bring their own Peeters paintings to the event for public display.
