Owls
Owls are most active during diminished light at dusk, dawn, and at night. All owls have forward
facing eyes, a facial disc that aids in detecting sounds, soft feathers that produce silent flight,
and their outer toes can face forward or backward. Owls lay white eggs, but do not build their
own nests, and are closely related to nightjars and nighthawks rather than hawks and falcons.
